Dorothy was born 20 Sep 1895 in West Orange, NJ to George Randell Boyce and Matilda Elouise Held.
The 1900 US Census lists the family living at 60 State Street, East Orange, NJ. Edith was 14, Agnes, 12, and Dorothy was 4 years old. Matilda was 36 and George, the electrician, was 40. The 1910 census they are living at 32 State Street. Dont know if this was a simple re-enumeration or an actual move.
About 1919, Dorothy married Frederick Herbert VonHofe. We still need the marriage cert!
The US Censuss of 1920 shows The VonHofes living in West Orange at 531 Hillside Terrace. Dorothy is living with her husband and her husband’s family. Frederick is a doctor.
She died on 6 Jan 1995 in Hackettstown NJ. She was buried in Fairwiew cemetery in Westfield NJ.
